Thirteen pounds of apples

We went apple picking at Beak and Skiff, which is so big you have to go on a hayride to get to the picking spot! We went a little overboard with the amount of apples, but I made lots of yummy treats. We also tasted apple wine and got fresh apple dumplings. I love fall!

Picnic

Sean had to do a rotation in Pennsylvania and lived in this little motel
with a wonderful "yard" for a picnic!

Ithaca

We went to Ithaca last weekend, which is half an hour away and has tons of waterfalls, gorges, and hiking. We went to the farmers market and Ithaca Falls, which are in the pictures. We also did some wine tasting and went to the local brewery, of course!

No More Crapalier!

My New Treadmill

This weekend I went to visit Sean and we decided to go for a walk, where we stumbled upon a treadmill for $15! I am pretty sure this may be the first treadmill ever made. Check out the shifter on the right, that is how you make it go faster or slower. And the "computer" definitely doesn't work. We were a mile from home but since it had wheels we decided we could roll it back. After getting the lady down to $10, we started our journey. We couldn't wheel it on the sidewalk because there were too many cracks, so we had to use the road. And when I say "we" that means Sean. About halfway home, and after a few plastic pieces had fallen off the sides, the wheels broke. We attempted to carry it but only got a few feet at a time, and finally a man in a truck full of deer antlers picked us up and gave us and the new treadmill a ride home.

Our New Place

We just finished moving into our new apartment in Cortland! Cortland is halfway between Binghamton, where Sean will be working in the hospital, and Syracuse University where I will be going to graduate school. We are living in a complex with mostly senior citizens! Sean already got invited to play cards with the old men and I am hoping the little old ladies will do some cooking for him while I am in Vermont for the next month. The picture of the garden is what our 87 year old neighbor dug out and planted! Oh and I realize there are two of the same pictures posted but I have no idea how to delete it.

Camping in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine

We spent four days camping, exploring, and hiking in the cold rain with no showers, but we had an awesome time! We stumbled upon a few breweries and a winery, which helped to warm us up...
